The current crisis in Lebanon has already killed and injured hundreds of innocent men, women and children. Hundreds of thousands of people have had to flee their homes. These people have nowhere to go, their homes and livelihoods are destroyed. Electricity and water supplies are damaged, leaving hospitals unable to treat the injured. There is virtually no access to basic necessities.

Palestine is another “emergency situation” according to the UN. More than half of the population in the Gaza Strip, already in the grip of extreme poverty, are now without clean water or food. Hospitals cant treat the sick and injured as power supplies have been destroyed. Serious disease outbreaks are feared. If we dont hear their cries who will?

Islamic Aid is your arm outstretched to help those in need. We already support projects in the area to help people escape poverty through providing education, healthcare and livelihood development. But in this crisis we must first save lives. We have received urgent requests from our partner organisations on the ground for ambulance cars (9,000 each), restoration of water supply (3,700 each), life-saving medicines (1,500 for one week supply to a hospital), and food supplies (500 for 10 families).
