The Israeli air raids have left the people of Gaza facing a humanitarian crisis. This violence is making the already tragic humanitarian situation in Gaza much worse. Already, it was estimated that over two-thirds of Palestinians now live well below the poverty line. Thousands have seen their homes, farms and businesses destroyed, with thousands of children becoming brutally orphaned. Malnutrition and disease is rife and over half of all Palestinians are in urgent need of food, shelter and medicines simply to survive.
