Emergencies: providing a lifeline in times of crisis
*
Whenever there is conflict or war, a flood or hurricane or food shortage, the poor are always affected most. There are over 20 million refugees around the world who have been displaced from their homes and their livelihoods. Eighty per cent of these refugees are Muslim.

The fight against poverty is never more difficult than in times of crisis. Our projects directly assist survivors of war, conflict and natural disasters through both immediate relief and longer-term rehabilitation. We provide food, shelter, clean water, medical care, seeds and tools. Assisting families and communities when they’re at their most vulnerable, Islamic Aid and our partners give them the chance to recover, rebuild and work toward creating a better future.

Islamic Aid have responsed to emergency situations in: Afghanistan, Palestine, Iraq, Iran, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sudan, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Kashmir.
